What is the etiquette for gifts- do you buy a bridal shower gift AND a wedding gift ?
I’ve always wondered if it was proper etiquette, if you had to buy a bridal shower gift AND a wedding gift- or is just one gift fine ?

Do you buy a bridal shower gift and wedding gift from a registry?
I was invited to a shower and in the invitation was their registry information. Does that mean I buy a gift from the registry for the bridal shower AND another gift for the wedding? I thought the bridal shower was for the bride, and the wedding gift is for the new life of the couple, thus the registry.

What are some ideas for a bridal shower gift?
I’m the maid of honor and am going to my friend’s bridal shower in a month or so, which is being hosted by her soon to be mother-in-law. My friend has said I don’t need to get her anything, but of course I’d still like to. Any cute ideas as to what I can get her? Do you have to get something that she and the groom both can use? Or just something special for her? Any ideas are appreciated.

What is a good bridal shower gift for the girl who has everything?
My friend’s bridal shower is this weekend and Im clueless on what to get for her. She already has her own home and everything she needs, the girl has everything. I hate just giving her a gift card, I want to give her something really nice because Ive known her for almost 20 years! I thought of getting her some lingerie as a gag, lol, but I want to get something serious. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

What do you say when opening a bridal shower gift that is identical to a previous gift?
For example say you get a set of towels….three or four gifts later you open more towels….how do you gratefully and graciously say thank you without showing the disappointment of getting the same thing over and over……Because of all the blended families there are three different showers for my fiance and I and we’re curious how to thank someone for a gift we already received from someone else.

What to buy for a bridal shower gift when registry is out of price range?
I’m attending the bridal shower for a close friend this weekend. She did not register for much, and I waited too long to buy a gift because the only items left are out of my price range. Because some of the higher priced items are still on the registry, would you recommend getting a gift card to the store she registered at or purchasing something that’s not on the registry?

What do I do with a returned bridal shower gift?
I attended a bridal shower for a coworker about a month ago. Soon after, she told all of us at work that the wedding was off and she returned all of her gifts to the appropriate givers. The problem is that I feel bad taking the gift back (it was a gift card that can be used even if she is not getting married), but I don’t want to embarrass her by insisting she keep it. What do you think is the best thing to do?
