I am getting married in August, and summers here get HOT (30+ Celsius, 86+ in F) and humid. Our ceremony will be outside, and we have a great private garden reserved with our reception room. I am on the fence between a short wedding dress and a long flowy one. I really don’t want to be uncomfortable, and want to stay cool so my makeup doesn’t melt off and my hair doesn’t go flat.

To those that have worn full-length dresses in the summer, were you comfortable? Not just temperature-wise, but for sitting, dancing, etc.

Here is what i think

I think Colleen looked the prettiest today, She looked beautiful and radiant, makeup, hairstyle, the dress was very pretty and it complimented her figure/stature.

Sharon: She also looked gorgeous, the blue colour is lovely.

Chloe: The top part of the dress was nice but didnt like the frumpy skirt towards the bottom, especially considering she was the “bride to be” she should of worn something better.

Now that I’ve got your attention, I have an honest question (mainly for the guys, but hopefully the ladies can offer some insight. I’m a wedding photographer. During last weekend, I was filming the bridal party getting ready. The bride is still in her PJ’s and just finished her makeup, and I’ve got my back to her while I’m getting MOB talking with the Grandma. I turn back around to get the bride, and BOOM! The bride is standing there just wearing just her lace bra and panties. Immediately drop my camera down, and do a 180. Bride laughs and says, “It’s fine”… That’s right, she said IT’s FINE??I kept my back to her, and just said, “I’ll be out here in the living room. Just let me know when you’re zipping the dress.” I was really embarrased I had a hard time making eye contact with the bride the rest of the night. I mean, the scenery was pleasent to the eyes, but I just felt uncomfortable. The bride is a cheerleader, so she is used to having people look at her with little clothes on…

I have a vague idea of what i’ll do for makeup from last year’s issue of seventeen, but does anyone know how i can adjust that for a less chocolatey, more tan skin tone? My fiance’s sister asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding, although I’m sure her mother made her ask. I have no problem being in the wedding but don’t know what to do about the current situation. The bride and her other two bridesmaids have been treating me terribly because I don’t look like them. I am a petite blonde and people have always told me that I am very pretty. My future sister-in-law and her friends are physical opposites of me. The bride put me in the most unattractive dress that she could find and asked me to put on some weight for the wedding to “fill it out better.” At 5’4″, 115lbs, and 32d, I think I fill out most clothing very well. Of course, she is 5’6″ and wears a 24 in women’s plus size, so I guess she knows a little more about filling clothes out! She also refuses to let me come to her bridal shower because she thinks I’m always the center of attention. To top it off, today she told me that I’m not going to be allowed to wear any makeup to the wedding or get my hair done, and she doesn’t want me to tan for at least three weeks. Does anyone else think this is ridiculous? What should I do????

from around the age of about 5 i can remember showing trates that boys have i was never girly at all i longed to be just like my dad a strong hardworking gardener.i can remember quite clearly playing games with friends and no matter what we wer do weather it be ‘mammys and daddys’ or making up plays whatever i always wanted to play the part of a boy.i was never interested in dolls or prams or makeup with me it was remote control cars/trucks, dirt, dinosaurs and animals.i just always got called a tomboy.i can remember in primary school i would say to people “Im allergic to pink” which people found hillarious.
from an early age i would dress as a boy i can remember getting ready one day and putting shorts on under my jeans i thought it was great when asked by my mam why i simply said “i want to be like daddy”.i idolised my father as a small child anything he did i would copy i even tried standing up to go to the loo a few times and my mam also caught me trying to shave my none-existant moustache.i used to help dad do diy,gardening and anything to do with tools i remember having my own tool box and building things with him in the back-garden on his days off.still all of this was put down as ‘just a phase’.
as i grew older the pressure to be into boys and makeup grew and i admit i did try but it wasnt for me i kept saying to my self why on earth would i want to stand for hours on end putting stuff alover my face when i could be havin fun outside.i tried my best to like boys but i didnt have that attraction to them i loved them as friends and i would have a somewhat emotional atraction but never really a physical one.all the other girls in school would be sitting planning the big princess wedding and having crushes on the ‘hottest’ guy in school where i would be off somewhere playing footy or talking about aliens to my guy friends.
i still feel this way so what do i do now help me pleez ????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
